Lettered on the base of the cross: "MORTVI VIVIMVS". Signed at bottom centre: "Mar. de Vos figuravit". Lettered and dedicated in lower margin: "AD.M ILL.RI ET R.MO PRI. MAG.RO FRI. NICOLAO RICCARDIO Ord. Prædicator Sacri Pal. Ap.ci Mag.ro Dom.ac Patrono Col.mo obsertu causa ide Calistus Ferrantus D.D.D.". In lower margin, at right: "Liber Secund".

Copy of the title-page of the series "SYLVAE SACRAE MONUMENTA", published for the first time in 1593-1594 and engraved by Jan and Raphael Sadeler; this series has several copies and the present title-page is not mentioned by Hollstein; it is difficult to understand to which copy this one belongs; Inventory number 2384 in red ink, left margin; old inventory number 2989 canceled; page number 1 written with brown ink, upper right corner of the sheet; the print is glued on a sheet measuring 258 x 345 mm and inserted in a volume that measures 275 x 360 x 40 mm; library's mark partially on the print.
