This print is part of an unique volume (BA, c͆.2/45, 1 (title page, p. 2-45)) that is composed by prints from differents series concerning male hermits ; this print comes originally from the series "Solitudo sive vitae patrvm eremicolarum", edited in 1585-1586 and engraved by Jan and Raphael Sadeler ; from this series only 27 prints out of 29 + title page are present in this volume (see BA, c͆.2/45, 1 (p. 2, 5-9, 11-17, 19-21, 23, 26-27, 29-32, 37, 41-42, 44); information over the date, the engravers (Sadeler, Jan, 1550-1600; Sadeler, Raphael (I), c. 1560-1628) and the inventor are based on what is written on the title page of the series, see Hollstein; The print is glued on a sheet measuring 258 x 345 mm and binded in a volume that measures 275 x 360 x 40 mm ; library’s mark partially on the print; page number 32 written with brown ink, upper right corner of the sheet.
