Centre of the print, in a cartouche: "NON IAM TVRRIGERAS."
Pr. [19] of: Bochius, Joannes, 1555-1609, POMPAE TRIVMPHALIS
First state from 1599. Probably also attributed to Petrus van der Borcht by Hollstein, because included in the 31 plates to Bochius's Historica Narratio he mentions under the engraver's name; attribution not withheld in The New Hollstein, where only 18 prints of the artist are mentioned; nor on the Rijksmuseum's website (access 5-10-18), where the print is attributed to Anonymous, Southern Netherlands. Copy of the print coloured by hand in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Little evidence of woodworm, right hand-side of print.
